Don’t buy items way out of season despite the price:
Great markdowns are always fun in this economy, however buying too many items for next winter as we move into the spring collection, means that they will sit in your closet for a whole year, which equates to a lack of what to wear in the now!
Do buy classic items that can take you all the year through:
Jeans, shoes and accessories, will take you all throughout the year and will never be out of season!
Don’t shop the sales on the weekend:
You just won’t survive it! And you will slowly realise that no reduction on any item is worth fighting off the other bargain shoppers who make the January sales a life or death event.
Do shop on an early weekday morning:
The stores are fully restocked with all the sales have to offer and all the sizes they have instock. Associates are more willing to help you with your needs as they are not worn out by the red ticket bandit shoppers who have abused them for the duration of their 8 hour shift. Shopping earlier is much easier on your nerves, less shoppers to deal with and less mess to sort through to find your January bargain!
Last but not least, be frugal and prioritise:
This is one I constantly try and live by! Remember all those $29.95 can still add up to a whopping total. Don’t get too carried away with those red numbers on the price tags. Buy what you need within moderation, you will feel that much better about the steal you found and the money you saved not purchasing it full price!!!!
